First School of Terryville/Echo

This 1906 photo by Arthur S Greene is the first school in Terryville/Echo, built in 1874.  It was located at the curve on Terryville Road, which is now land partially vacant and partially the post office parking lot.  Note the school bell tower, separate doors for girls and boys, the outhouse on right and the coal/tool shed on left.
