E.H. Rogers Feed Mill
Title
E.H. Rogers Feed Mill
Description
Erected in 1908 and still standing today, the Mill is located at the south side of the tracks opposite the railroad station. This feed and grain mill was an integral component of our agricultural community providing necessary and vital products to the region’s farmers, dairymen and general population. In 1929, Rogers sold the business to the Remz Brothers who continued to operate and expand the business to almost every state in the union. A partial list of their customers obtained from the company’s original ledgers included the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Washburn-Crosby (later General Mills), Land O’ Lakes Creamery, and Sam Walton of Walmart.
