Description
Charles A. Squires (B. 1856, D. 1934) was known as the "Father of Port Jefferson Station." He was the Brookhaven Town Receiver of Taxes and publisher of the Port Jefferson Echo newspaper, as well as a real estate developer. He built the subdivision of Belle Croft, as well as Lincoln Park Gardens.
